dnsi0: Would this be how I call the function?Note: I do not know ASM, but searched a bit and this is what I came up with:
| Code: |
_asm Decrypt (char* encryptedPacket)
{
push encryptedPacket
call decryptionAddress
pop encryptedPacket
mov buffer, eax
ret
}
| What this code is supposed to do is call the decryption method with encrypedPacket as parameter, and store the output in buffer. _________________

no. You would have to jump into the function. But the function is weird. It doeswn't have the stack preservation header. It goes stright to mov something,[value]
So I don't really know about these functions. I could also hook to what called it and find out the parameters it takes to call this function.
And also. If you can't come up with easy asm code then you should learn more before trying to make a packet editor... |

If you use MS's you'd have to call rather than jmp or else it will retn to the wrong place. And if you used a function pointer, it would make calling it easier. _________________

| no I mean you use it like you do the hookhop. but u cant use the push ebp and the mov ebp,esp cause maplestory's functions are screwed at that point. I checked and it doesn't have the stack preservation header for some reason why? |

| This is so retarded, MapleStory uses wrappers, I think. Even if you find your way out of that, GameGuard will fuck your ass up by rewriting your hook. |

Don't make it hard on yourself. Stop calling asm code inside C++ and use C++. |

Don't make it hard on yourself. Stop calling asm code inside C++ and use C++. | He needs to know ASM if he ever wants to find the decryption/encryption routine. _________________
