Same as the reason CEF is not DDoSable.
After some amount of too fast connections they will ignore your IP.
Unless we have a couple thousands people/computers... It wont work.

That is the reason it's called DDoS, distributed denial of service. While you wouldn't be able to DoS them, DDoS is entirely possible.
During a DoS there is a large number of requests to the server, what usually happens is that either the site exceeds its bandwidth quota and is suspended or the web host notices that requests are taking up a huge amount of server resources and suspends the site.
DDoS is the distributed (lots of people doing it) version of that.

You do not think i know this?
After a group of people send three HTTP packets too fast to GZP they will be blocked from the site.
Do you think 3 packets times how many bots will do the job?

I'm still getting replies after ~700 packets. Although if I were to DDoS them I wouldn't be using HTTP packets.
They can also be hassled in other ways. Theoretically if you were to pretend to advertise gzp on /b/ (in the way anontalk does) anon wouldn't be too happy about it.
