It can run all programs XP can and more games than XP can (smoothly).
It does not waste your RAM by letting it sit around doing nothing ( 75 percent unused RAM? More like 75 percent of lazy fat asses not working for you.)
It looks nice.

I had XP and when I boot up without running and other programs it used 20% of my RAM. Why do i want 80 percent of my RAM doing no work at all?
When I boot up Vista without running any other programs it uses 45% of my RAM. Thank god Vista is putting my RAM to good use!

Also no one notices this. Say you need more ram, instead of that stupid low virtual memory thing, it will just make things run at there lowest but work at the fullest.

I get what you're trying to say, but I really don't like your arguement.
You make it sound like 100% load 24/7 is a good thing.

Its not.

Vista is like that by design and its superfetch ability is nifty, tstl.
Vista is an overall better OS.

Using half the ram is better then using none. XP could run on the crappiest pcs. Vista needs a good one.

something I found interesting:
if you have VMware (or any other RAM hog program for that matter) fire it up
lets say you've got 4gb RAM, give a virtual machine 3.5 of it.
let it load up fully etc. then power off the VM (with your hosts task manager open), watch vista memory usage drop from 100% (4gb) to 3-400mb before it fills up the cache again.

if that's not good memory management I don't know what is...

tl;dr: vista puts RAM to good use, it's not just doing nothing and using all that RAM.
