PCI is a slot in your mobo
There are different kinds of PCI
PCI x1 I believe this is mostly used for sound cards, more usb ports, more sata ports etc etc
PCI-e x16 Used for GPU's
I believe there are more types but i dunno much about them _________________

PCI is a non-bidirectional interface that is the sucessor to ISA. Its capable of operating up to 66MHz, although it has a longer name it's commonly known as PCI.
The ones we see mostly is the 32bit PCI slot another PCI version is the 64bit called PCI-X also know as PCI Express.
This PCI Express is 64bit capable and can operate up to 133MHz, but it's not the PCI Express we used for today's graphic cards.
Both of these slots are called PCI Express, but they have different logos and lettering schemes to set them apart.
The 64bit capable PCI Express is represented as "PCI-X"
The ones we used for today's graphic cards is represented as "PCIe"
