Not that I'm planning on buying an i7 or anything, but I was looking on newegg, and I realized they only sell one socket 1366 fan (and it sucks). How do people use i7s if they can't get a semi decent fan (well, they could use the stock, but who does that).

There are other fans for the Core i7 it's just newegg don't have them yet.

When I said there are others out there it does not necessarily mean it's available for sale. Look on the web and you'll find quite a few of them, by the way Core i7 is just a week old so don't expect to see 3rd party products flowing to your door anytime soon.

Take a look at the manufacturers site, and see if they offer a 1366 bracket. That's the only modification that has to be made.

Many will be getting them out ASAP.

i7 was just released, give it time.

As slovach mentioned, a lot of manufacturers will be releasing a bracket to make a lot of current 775 heatsinks fit a 1336 board so be patient.

If you buy a noctua they will send with you a i7 placment.
