The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.

I have Windows XP Pro 64 Bit

I get that everytime I try to install MapleStory (for private servers, not real Razz). I can't figure out how to fix it. I've tried going on classic view and logging in as Administrator and everything and it still doesn't work. I did the whole gpedit.msc and disable windows installer and it still doesn't work. I don't know what to do.

Have you parents set policies to prevent it?

No, I'm the administrator of the computer. I'm the only one that uses this computer.

Look like someone have fooled around with some group policy settings and locked themselves out.

Similar as when you accidentally leave your car keys in the car.
Happned to me once and manage to unlock it, but if you changed too much settings then you may have to reinstall your OS.

Try this go to msconfig, click on the services tab and click enable all.
Then restart and try again.

Don't worry you will not enable all services, all your doing is just setting it back to their defaults.

Actually, from my experiences, this could be caused by a antivirus, happened to me before. Shutoff your antivirus when installing and executing.

Check your Anti-Virus and also try this command:

Open Command Prompt (Start>Run>cmd>Ok)
Type: net localgroup administrators YOURUSERNAME (type exactly how your windows username is) /add

EXAMPLE:
net localgroup administrators username /add

Says I'm already part of it.

And to the msconfig thing, I'm doing it now.

And the last person, I'll try that too.

what anti-virus do you have? I had a similar problem with ZoneAlarm except it said that i cant use the internet because system administrator disabled it.
Also i just remember a thing in safemode that lets you access your main administrator only visible in safemode. Go into safemode press F8 or F9 a few times when your system starts up like right then OEM logo appears then select safemode and go into account called administrator then go into your normal account through control pannel and see whats going on with your account from there
