If you could do it on text that says Powernapkin! in bitmap/pixel font roughly the same size on the other site I'll use it on our site.

Ok wouldn't you model like a extrusion of the text and make it a shiny filter then move it across the text or something?

that could be done in flash no? apply a high powered glow and angle it to the right then have it animate to the left on a seperate layer.
