I still suggest you use THIS

As
1.nothing can go (drastically) wrong.
2.you already have everything you need.
3. takes less time.

Basically, Press Ctrl + F11 at the DELL splash screen.

its not a dell its a HP so all the stuff you guys said as much as i appriciate it i dont think itll work i need something for xp

Dell gives you their modified version of Windows XP where the product key and activation is already build into the disc and everytime you install it to your Dell computer you won't need to activate your Windows XP. The product key will be a sticker somewhere on the outside of your Dell case.

As for your HP, you must create a recovery disc, by booting up your computer and look for that HP Recovery Disc creator program.

Another is to boot into the HP's Factory restore partition, to do that
Press F11 when your turn on your machine.
