Would my downloads still work and be able to be opened when I'm done downloading? I mean by close is that I press the X not end process, I keep the Download tab open.

As long as you keep 1 window open of firefox, your downloads will keep going. Includes the download window.

Yeah, you can have all of firefox closed, except the download window, and it will download.

If you have the download window closed, and firefox open, it will still download.

It honestly doesn't matter.
You can probably download an addon for firefox to put it in task bar, too.
...It just moved up to 50 hours ._.
