| In terms of Win Sock if i send a packet to 127.0.0.1 port 8845 (example) will programs programmed to listen on that port on my local machine receive it? Ultimately i want to make a form of server emu for something. I can code it all my self i just want to know if that will work.

| Ok first of all, it depends on the program. The program has a to have a socket that is connected to the socket of the client/server, if you dont have that done, then no packets will be recieved.

If you wanna know if it works or not, Have the client or Server use send(). and then have te other exe use recv, and see if you recv any data
