Fucking gay dude. I didn't know that shit. The ram sticks are fine, its just the bay. Its toasted. No good with either stick.

I just lied to my mom and told her the computer will die forever if she didn't give me 35$ to buy a 1G G.Skill ram stick.

Impossible! MACs are so much better then PC! All their stuff is 50x more expensive and comes from the same place, there is no WAY that equipment can fail!

Not true. You'll put a little more wear and tear on your hard drive but that's it.

Have you tried blowing out the slot really well and cleaning the connectors? It's unusual for a RAM slot to fail randomly...

Its true, your ram slowly corrupts as you reformat more often, although takes it a long time to do that (1-2 years).
