trouble with CE buttons

i'm having trouble with the button on the CE Trainer Maker,
i set it up to execute my cheat , nothing happen, set it in the cheatlist
it works fine,

i'm using CE 5.4

What kind of cheat is it? An auto assembler hack ,an address one , or a code list item?
Also, if AA, does it make use of registersymbol? Or does it rely on one ? (e.g make sure the one that sets it is executed first)

its AA, and it has a register symbol, its works in the cheatlist,
it has two AA, 1st AA has the registered symbol and the 2nd has the cheat.

hmmm. idk, i never had the prob, try getting the newest cheat engine, and that might work, but idk anything else.

did any of you tried the button to exec a cheat/hack in CE trainer maker?

Yes, seems I added a small debug test before release which I forgot to remove.
To fix it in the source, look for "m.HotKey:=cheatnr-5;" in memorytrainer.pas in the standalone folder and replace it with "m.HotKey:=cheatnr;"

one possible 'bypass' for the bug without editing code:
Add the cheats you want.
Then add 5 dummy cheats that do absolutely nothing
And then set the button to execute the cheat you want+5
So for cheat 0 you'd set it to cheat 5
for cheat 1 you'd set it to cheat 6
etc...
(And yes, I know it's a horrible bypass)

And I guess you could edit that -5 in assembler in the generated trainer.

didn't work, i tried it upto 10 , nothing happend

You guys could try it my way. It wont be a real button but it looks like a button and it works like one. Razz
This is what i do and i'v never had a cheat not activate.

Choose a button tab
Then choose that tab that says cheat.
put your cheat in the list and assign it.
Now set the settings for it.
like colour
change the decription setting from 100 to 1
set hotkey to false
then resize your cheat to be alittle thinner then your button.
And make sure the button is alittle longer then your cheat. Rolling Eyes
The end result will be something like this

It looks like a button and you still need to click it to activate it. But it works everytime.
I know i didnt explain it very well but you get the idea!

almost out, I'm currently doing some quick tests to see if there aren't any huge bugs. (it is just a test/beta after all, but should be at least runnable)

remember it's not a official release, so may have a few new bugs. But I did test the button on the trainer maker and it does work now
Check the svn for changes (may want to change the default view to show more than last month)
summary:
A few memory scan crash fixes
new speedhack
plugin system has some new options, but not yet documented (i've been working on a new example plugin (PE for CE), but couldn't put it in this package yet as it has some paths still hard coded in)
new auto assembler editor
fixed pointer scanner memory leak
fixed some instruction assembling to pick better ones
added the short command to override the jmp for unknown distance jumps in the AA. (e.g je short mylabel2)
stay on top in memoryview and main ce (rightclick the titlebar)
remember window positions for memview and main ce
kernel_XXXX calls and jmps can now be made again

still have minor glitch, i set the button to execute the cheat 1 and it executed cheat 0, i added 2 dummy cheat, made 2 buttons and set them to execute cheat 2 and 3 the same thing happened it executed cheat 0.
