Hello, and welcome to the Tutorial of How to add and/or remove an avatar from your account (: By request of qaze ~First Edition~
This is very simple (according to me) but it seems like some people out there can't figure this out. I'll also include how to attach cool pictures etc to your Signature. But that's gonna be in the end, due to, that the other one has a higher priority
First of all, you have to login (duh?). Next is, to go to your profiles page. (Look Picture)
An alternative would also be to type in this into your browser, when loggod onto CEF | Code: | | http://forum.cheatengine.org/profile.php?mode=editprofile |
Anyhow, when you're at the page, something like this should show up:
Now, when you're at this page, scroll down to the buttom of it, and this should appear:
Okay, so far, so good. Here comes what must be the hard part of all this. So read carefully.
There's certain rules for these Avatars. They can MAX be 120x120 Pixels (Means 120 pixels high, and 120 pixels wide) You may not cross that rule..
Anyhow. What you're going to concern about more, is choosing an AvatarPicture that's going to be a symbol of you, something special.
There's 2 options here.
1'). You upload a picture from your PC (It can also be .GIF's, animations)
2'). You go to google.com, or something alike, and find your picture.
No matter what you choose, I'm gonna explain both.
Method #1 -> Okay, so you got this cool picture you always wanted as avatar. No problem. What you now have to do, is go to Imageshack.us and upload your picture. (You don't even have to create an account or anything, totally free!)
Okay, when you're at the site, press browse, and a little window pops up. Now you have to find, and open the picture/.gif you want to upload!
When you found that, and opened it, then the line besides the browse button should say something like C:\Documents\Pictures\MySuperAwesomeAvatar.jpg or whatever.
When that's done, just press "Host it!" and wait a bit, untill the page reloads.. But now it looks like this!:
Cool huh? xD
Okay, so now you got a lot of links, but the only one you're gonna use, is the one at the bottom, called "Direct Link". Go and copy it
So, you now have a direct link to your picture.
Go back to your Profiles Page, and Paste the Direct Link into the empty field, and press submit!.
Like this ->
Wait some seconds, and this should pop up->
Then you can click the highlighted area, or just wait -> No matter what, it'll return you to the frontpage of CEF.
Now try to go to the Profiles Page again, and scroll down and watch magic happen
Congratulations, you now have a cool avatar directly uploaded from your very own PC (:
Now, if you chose method#2 , this is where it starts ->>
Go to Google, Yahoo, Jubii or whatever you prefer. Now go find a picture you like.
For this example, i used this http://forum.cheatengine.org/templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif
The CEF Logo.
Anyhow, you just go to google, search for something , and open the picture. Then you just copy the url (the one above for example) and then paste it into the empty field on your Profiles Page, avatar Control panel, and press submit and voilá..
You could also save the image to your PC, and use method#1, incase the picture should be deleted from original page.
And if you ever want a new image, or just remove the one you had, you just tick the "Delete Image" box, and press submit (:
I hope this could help you guys.
Now, for the cool signature stuff, you basically do the same.
Upload picture to imageshack.us, copy direct link, and paste it into the signature box. NOTE::
You have to do like this for it to work

Without the [IMG] and [/IMG], you'll just be posting a link. This "code" makes it show the picture instead.
And if you want one of those Naughty bars some people have (like myself, the blue one) then you just download the program I attached, and then you make a bar, save it, and go through method#1 again.
If some of this has been hard understanding, or alike, please tell me, so I can re-write it, or tell you (by PM's) what to do and such.

right click a pic, save it. Then go to tinypic.com and get the url u need. Simple.

Exactly.
I know this is "obvious" , yes. FOR SOME PEOPLE.. Yet there's still people out there who doesn't know, so I made a really long, easy to follow step by step guide , for those who can't figure this out themselves..

Yea, Rufflez .. This is NOT meant for people like you, who know how to do it. It's for those who don't know it, and they do require as much info as possible. Besides, small tutorials, ain't tutorials. And they mostly suck..

Would you just stop being a total jerk and actually try to help people, like I am? That's the point of this forum. It's not to call a newb a newb, it's to get newbs to pros, and so on ..
