wich bytes you need to use?
You're new aren't you?
I don't quite follow what you're saying... If you mean what type to scan, that depends on the script. Java has acces to all the data types. So usualy you should scan for 4 bytes.

I'll guess it depends on the range of the thing you want to hack, though I've never hacked a java before. It goes like that:
1 byte: 0-255
2 bytes: 0-65535
4 bytes range I guess would be about 65535^2 and 8 bytes would be about 65535^4. I doubt you'll ever need to search for 8 bytes.
With this said, if, for example, in the game you want to hack, you have health which varies from 0-100, which falls in the 0-255 range, it'd be pointless to use 2 bytes to store that. So you'd have to search for 1 byte. If it varies from 0-1000, which falls in 0-65535 and doesn't fit in 1 byte, you'd need to search for 2 bytes.
Correct me if java doesn't work like that.

Java can work like that but yet it can also work with floats (single) and doubles

like the other values, floats and doubles have limites:
a "Single" value can hold a number between 1.5 x 10^-45 and 3.4 x 10^38
and a "Double" value can hold a number between 5.0 x 10^-324 and 1.7 x 10^308
(^copyed from CE help file)

So, in short, Java can use them all. It depends on what you are searching for.
