What's wrong with that? On my computer, Crysis is perfectly playable at 20FPS (although I average 30FPS). As long as it doesn't drop below 10FPS (ice areas), it's still completely playable.
Now that it looks like you almost get a performance boost by switching to Vista, I think I'll give it a try (that was my biggest gripe, the 5-10% performance drop). _________________

I can play most modern games like CoD4, World in Conflict, and even Crysis with 20 FPS. Vista is a little better than XP. On x64 versions of Vista, GameGuard doesn't even load, so if you have a x64 compliant memory editor, you can hack all you want. |
Using x64 Vista here, and I can tell you you're a complete idiot.
Gameguard won't run without a bit of fooling around, and that's all fine and dandy, but Maplestory doesn't work without GameGuard running, remember? |

[sarcasm]Oh no.
Maplestory won't run.
Whatever will I do without Maplestory.[/sarcasm]
For most of us (well I would hope most of us, I think I know how much traffic this site gets for the Maplestory section) that wouldn't be an issue Cheetah.
I don't know about Vista still. I might dual XP and Vista onto my future laptop and give Vista a chance when I am not having to deal with it constantly complaining. |

Just switched over to Vista a few hours ago (Vista Ultimate x86). It's pretty good, although there are a lot of start up programs (HKLM Run commands, not in the Startup folder) that I don't use. It was easily fixed. I ran into a problem with my internet, it would only connect to my network and not to the internet. I just reinstalled (uninstall, install) NOD32 and it worked out fine (I think it was something with IPx6). I'm pretty pleased with the GUI, but I've been using a similar one (Vista themes on XP), so it wasn't much of a new thing. I find no performance drops in terms of FPS(after installing SP1), besides the occasional stutter in Crysis (framerate dropping to 0, then goes back to normal).
The worst thing about Vista (in my opinion, that is) is that it takes more of my CPU. It raised my CPU temperatures up by 2-4C. _________________

| Or if you absolutely despise Vista, you can wait 1-2 years and upgrade straight from XP to Windows 7. |
