Both the RAM sticks work. But only the second and thrid slots work. The RAM I bought was only for the first and second slots. When I booted the computer with just RAM in the first slot, the power was on, but the screen was blank. When I booted my computer with RAM in the second slot, the computer was working 100%. When I booted my computer with RAM (old) in the thrid slot, every worked too. I haven't tried the fourth slot.

Psych never send a random kid to flash his bios.
Make sure he knows where his reset is if he fucks up.
Also the slots do not matter unless you really care how much you get out of your ram..
