Well, I have this thing that is eating up my memory. A few days ago i deleted abnout 8 GIGGS of memory, and now i have absolutely none of it. SO, I went in search of what the problem was and i found this.... LOLLL! (But not funny) Anyone know the problem? Yes, I deleted RCT. And I haven't used it and it says I used it today..... |

Yeah, I think it changed icons, do you think it is RCT2 or a virus that stuck to it or what? |

Yeh thats the icon for 'winlogon' if my memory is working
You maybe deleted the program folder and not uninstalled it properly.
There will be system registry keys left, which is what is giving you that item in the list. |

If you just deleted it's actual folder and contents and didn't run the uninstaller, you're going to end up with it stuck there.
Crap cleaner does a good enough job at tidying up. |

Yeah, I did delete without uninstalling, but how do I fix it?
Is Crap Cleaner CCleaner? |

Use something like 'crap cleaner' like slovach suggested.
It will do its best ay 'cleaning-up' after it.
Search around for the site.
Oh...and the incorrect size thing....windows tbug..does it with me occasionally...gets in a tif with itself.

If it fails to uninstall from the menu, I don't remember if windows will ask if you want to remove it.
You should just go get crap cleaner and run it. It'll find the leftover registry entries that were never deleted because you didn't run the uninstaller, and it will let you remove it from the uninstall list.
e: and yes, the 50gb thing is a bit weird. |

Thats because also you have to "uncheck" hide protected system files as well to see them.
And that RCT file is way to damn large lol.
But there are numerous tools online to remove unwanted files from the add/remove list like that.
Google for something like
"removing unwanted files from add and remove list" |

Yeah it'll most likely be something silly.
Although going back to what you first made in your thread title "memory virus", there does exist such things, in the form of rootkits.
But a real 'memory virus' would get wiped on a reboot when its dropped from memory <-- Heh, wtf did that come from.... |
