so you see my ram was only 512 before Vista...so i am having really big problem coz im gamer..
and now i just bought a new 1 GB extra ram...
now...i am just wondering...if why does my computer eats up
700 RAM of my PC everytime i turn it onn...its really wierd...>.<
i have done the msconfig too i close all start ups and all everything but still eats up 700 of my ram always...
i think this is really bad>_<
my ram is totall of 1.5gb ram...
plz help T.T

You're using Vista. Vista is a RAM eater. That's what happens when you're using Vista.

Yes thats true, i heard something about vista using more than 512MB ram

Vista caches programs for use later, which is why it eats up so much RAM. In reality it slows low-end computers down pretty badly.

Vista just doesn't eat memory for shits and giggles, it caches things based off your patterns of usage.
If you got the memory, it should speed things up. If something else needs it, it gets freed. I've run it on a computer with 512 and it was fine for the most part.

In an ideal world though every PC would have at least 2Gb of PC2-5400 to run sweet.
I think its crazy that a lot of pre-build system manufacturers are even thinking of dishing out 'NEW' pc's with 1gb or even 512mb of RAM.
Add all the crap on you want to play/run, you're not in the most ideal situation.
