DONT get a MAC, if you are considering a Mac OS then just buy a working, worthwhile pc and load the mac opperating system on to it, although all it's files are differnt to a PC and all the games are tripple in price. just do the simpel thing, dont get one...

Macs do look nice, but they lack a lot of things windows has.
Dosen't Macs have everythin in the monitor, so all you need is a mouse and keyboard?

Only at the price of using notebook/laptop performance parts. That's why Macs can't stand up to "true" desktop computers.

I own a Mac, you Mac-hating people (who may not know what they are talking about,  ) . First, Macs are used for videos and music -related tasks, not for games! I own a Windows XP PC for that. Second, Mac actually has good graphics, run World of Warcraft (one of the only good games ported to Mac, besides EVE) and see what I mean. Macs are not gaming machines, that is what Windows is for. They don't make games for them, Windows is the dominant software company that has the most of every kind of everything, Macs have Final Cut Pro and other productivity software. Macs can't run CE either, but this argument is only another flame war...

Bullshit. If you can't right click, the mac is better for nothing.
1. They're selling outdated parts that can't be upgraded. If you can't update your video card without buying a whole new computer for $2000, then they're certainly not better for video-related stuff.
2. They're extremely expensive.
3. They're incompatible with almost everything.
4. Apple updates OSx far, far, far too often, then makes you pay for it. Not cool.
5. Just do a Google search. I'm sure you could find at least 1 program that can edit/play videos and music just as well as any mac, compatible with windows.

Do you like making s--t up or is it my lucky day? It is called "System Preferences" and changing the right mouse button to "Secondary" instead of "Primary" button, also known as a right-click. It works the same, it is just called something different, but it literally is exactly the same! Geez, look up your facts before looking like an idiot and trying to flame me.  Fail.

That seems to be the only thing MAC users have to defend themselves any more is Final Cut Pro.
It's settled guys, you should spend twice as much on the hardware as what it's worth, for one good program. While I've used Final Cut Pro and I will admit it's one of the few good things about the MAC, I've also used a freeware program on Windows called VirtualDUB, and I have to say I prefer it by far. Plus, with all the money saved buying a standard machine, I can put more money into hardware to edit video even better.
It's a flamewar because you have one machine that has all the pros, and one machine that is almost entirely cons from every viewpoint, what do you expect?
