Cheat Engine

hey...
i downloaded cheatengine a couple of days ago on my computer that has vista... but when I try to use the "enable speed hack" button, the selected program crashes and says it has encounterd an error and have to close the program... is this a problem on vista or is my computer just lame Question

are you using "Cheat Engine 5.4"

and if you're running vista 64, make sure you've targeted a 32-bit process

Thats done by going into open process and clicking "open file", right? Cause when I do that, the check box wont check.

Open File is something else, open file reads the file, for example, a text file that contains the text "0000" Cheat Engine will treat it as ASCII, which means you will see the bytes "30 30 30 30". (and lots of question marks)
When you do that, the process isn't running, you can't speed up a file... o.o

Go to the process list -> Process Watch -> open process. (I'm not sure whats the diffrance...)

that's done by going to the processlist and then doubleclick the process, or select it and click on ok

i, personally have not been able to use CE on vista HP that well...

Same happens to me with GTA.
I got 64 and ticked 32.

I heard of this problem before.

Select hyperscan on Cheat Engine and than try, that should work.
