Theres a HUGE variety of distortions, effects, wah wahs, even modded stuff. Most are pretty expensive. I know someone who wanted to make a drooping sound for a song or two and bought a wah wah pedal for liek a hundred bucks or so, and he was amazed when i did it with a free whammy bar lol.

Plug the amp into the socket first, then attach to the guitar.
Tweak a li'l with the Amp Settings until you get a heavy metal kind of tone, mess with the guitars tuning [Preferrably 7&8] and put volume to max.
