Cheat Engine

I find the first pointer fine, then I find the second pointer but the value is different than the first, and when I try and get the pointer for THAT pointer I don't even get any results when I scan.

What am I doing wrong?

this is a mean one yes.
in this case, change your debug settings to use access violations. Since eax gets modified after execution. and thats when you see it (when using debug registerS)

check memory access exceptions.

I prefer debug registers, but in some cases (like this one) the exceptions are needed. (or your brains and you use code injection to get by it, or the pointerscanner)

just a tip on number 8 but i got 4 pointers and the starting address all in my cheat table and froze them all to complete the tutorial..not sure if i was only ment to freeze the last one but this way seemed to work for me.

edit:just checked you only have to freeze the last pointer.
