well since i have gotten my new computer i have not been able to connect to my wireless internet. it is a big pain in the ass because my modem and my router are combined. and i need them both for my xbox360 and my computer. i can't play live without the modem/router. and I'm not going to spend 100 dollars for the wireless adapter for the 360. i know that my wireless is working fine because i can connect to it from my other computer. my new pc (running vista) says "no wireless devices detected" I'm new to vista so i might be having a dibshit moment. can anyone give me a idea why i cant find any wireless networks? thanks.

...where... i have all of the cd's that came with my computer. but all of them say that they have all ready been installed.

Check? I'm guessing it came pre-built, it should say if it came with a wireless adapter.

In the back near the PCI port area (bottom) there should be a little antenna protruding out.

If there isn't, well then you don't have a wireless card installed, and will need to buy one if you dont want to connect directly.

You should buy one of the cheap USB ones, they work fine for me!

The netgear WG111 v3 will work perfectly fine, very easy installation and very little lag when on the internet. It'll run you about $40, but like I said It's very much worth it.

ALSO: What kind of router do you have?
