How do I cheat?

I used cheatengine the way to tutorial told me to try and get more money in bloons tower defense 2, but every time I click to buy a monkey after i've changed the value my internet gets an error and has to close.

I've tried it on IE and firefox

Can anyone tell me what might be going wrong/what i'm doing wrong?
