Cheat Engine

Each time i try to change register at this location, the cheat engine will ask me to allow an attachment of a debuger. When i click yes, error=5 appears and the cheat engine malfunctions! Can anyone help me with this problem?

yes i do get the exactly same error when i tried to change the register, can someone provide some help?

go to settings->extra and tick use kernel debugger when possible

I am having the same problem as the thread starter.
I have ticked 'use kernel debugger when possible' but I still get a pop-up that says error=5 and another pop-up that says The thread that was supposed to be attached the debugger to the process failed.
