You don't need watercooling to get decent overclocks, a good radiator costs between $30-50, and you can't get below ambient temps with liquid cooling unless you move onto phase-change. |

you just put a BB sized drop in the center of the CPU and then place the heatsink on it, then secure the heatsink.
the thermal compound helps transfer the heat to the heatsink, and with arctic silver, it helps decrease the cpu's temp nicely.
remember, only a bb-sized drop, not too much, not too little. _________________

The heatsink you are planning on buying has a fan already. To answer your question, yes, you need a fan for your heatsink (common sense) _________________

even if you arent planning on overclocking, that is a good cpu heatsink fan (hsf) that will keep it nice and cool. _________________

im thinking of going with this motherboard now because i noticed that the other one did not have PCIe 2.0 slots.

my question is:if you look in the specs of this MOBO,the memory standard is DDR2 1200,can i still put DDR2 800 memory on it? |

You don't need PCI-e 2.0 slots, no video card comes even close to saturating the bandwidth that PCI-e 1 provides, it's just a gimmick.
Also, you're fine with the memory, that's just the max it supports. |

at shday: that harddrive and Power Supply are too much... your computer WONT use up all 700 watts... no no no it wont. Also 750gb? get real.. if your downloading like 1 movie a day and playing every game in the world, it will be a challenge to fill up. _________________

| im goin to leave the power supply 700W because ,well, really its "just in case" i add alot more parts, which i plan to do over time. Also,if you dont think i need the 750Gb drive, that runs at 7200 rpm, which hard drive do you reccomend?like one thats 10000rpm or something |
