I was wondering what you needed to burn movies on to a CD so that you could run it on DVD players?

Cause i have like 20 4 gig CDs but nothing can go on it...

And like whats the difference with

DVD-R and DVD-RW?

Btw im using a laptop to burn DLed movies

DVD-R is a non-rewriteable format and it is compatible with about 93% of all DVD Players and most DVD-ROMs.
DVD-RW is a rewriteable format and it is compatible with about 80% of all DVD Players and most DVD-ROMs.

if you are running it with a laptop it should work i think.

When i try to drag a .avi onto the disc it says ''Windows has detected a problem, what do you want to do...''

Try again - jump over or cancel

seems like it should work, i dont know why its not working....

but you could always just watch the dvd straight from your hard drive

You need the right CD plus a DVD burner.
