How do i make something save a file like if ur writing in a text box and then on note pad there is a "save as" thing...how do i do that

Lol, alot of these are getting posted.
Dim Save as long
Save = FreeFile()
Open "C:\Test.txt" For Output as #save
Print #Save, Text1.Text
Close #Save
You can also make the print, a message so it would be like this: Print #save, "Message"

Yes, it will print your text onto a note pad. You can change the location too.
It's a very simple script, compared to the others, and it works too.

that will work. Does he mean though making his own file type that can only open in his program though or saving text that can open in text or notepad

Lol, he means text for notepad, anyway, you can't make it so it only opens in your program... im sure you could put a pass on it though...

| try using a rich textbox, you can do much more then a regular textbox.
