Fed Grandmaster Cheater

OK,my dad changed CPU Celeron to Pentium 4.When i do something it glitches or laggs to get out of lags i have to reboot system and it still keeps lagging.MY brother told this,that there is a exampler thing.What is this?

A changed CPU shouldn't cause those issues, unless the CPU itself is bad. Putting in the old cpu is about all you can do.

A changed CPU shouldn't cause those issues, unless the CPU itself is bad. Putting in the old cpu is about all you can do. | OH allright

Sounds like the clock jumpers on the mother board are not properly set for the new chip.

I haven't seen clock jumpers on a board in years All modern chips, including the P4, have a set of pins that tell the board which fsb strap to set to, so jumpers aren't necessary anymore.

Really? Most motherboards that I've boughten recently come with the pins still for over clocking and manual adjustments. I mainly buy SOYO motherboards as I've had the best experiences with them myself. |
Out of the hundreds of new motherboards I've put in machines in the last year, none of them have had FSB jumpers Don't think I've ever used a SOYO board in a machine though.
