I no there are some easy ways to make ur comp go faster without taring it apart and and putting new shit into it lol... Can u guys give me some tips on making it faster? Like for example: Disk cleanup, and Disk Defragmenter... Is there some more ways i can clean it up without buying new parts like that? Thanks Very Happy

Uninstall unnecessary programs or programs you do not use. Clear out some folders you do not use on your HD.

start / run / msconfig / click "BOOT.INI" tab, where it say"timeout:"[30]sec. change it to [ 3 ]sec.

also if you have vista and really dont use alot of shit, click on the STARTUP tab and hit disable all. vista will auto start everything it needs. I know it seems reckless but hah, thats what they tell us to do for "optimization" at circuit city where i work. funny eh?

you could also disable memory checking on startup from your bios. Although im fairly sure that most computers come with that one preset. still worth the effort.

Dont have a big ass graphic for a background, especially while gaming. That image has to be loaded into memory, which yea sucks resources.

Basically just pretend your running windows server 03 and keep it plain as hell. no pretty stuff =x

If you use XP, switch to the classic windows theme, it will speed it up a lot more than you think.

Defrag your hard drive.

Delete temporary files.

If the hard drive is getting full, delete stuff you don't need anymore.

Uninstall programs you don't use anymore.

Delete everything in Prefetch, you also might want to change the registry entry for prefetch so it is off.
