ok,, this has been happening for a while whenever i go on my computer like every 20 seconds the colors go out and go green and everything is in a shade of green so i have to hit my monitor to fix it?

I'd say drivers, but your color seems to just be fucked up, get a new monitor.

i'd invest in an LCD, they are better for your eyes than CRT and are supposed to live long, although sometimes the backlights go bad, but you can have them replace those at shops; ive tried to replace it on an old lcd so i could attach it to my xbox, but i couldnt get to it because it was under the board =-p

if you have a 32 bit make sure it is set to 32 bit not 16 bit.
or try making the refresh rate to 75mhz.

Had any speakers next to it? Magnets screw with the color in TVs and monitors.

so its a CRT? those are the ones that are thick

and yeah, magnetic devices distort the image, i had a speaker on my television and it would make green oval shapes in that corner, so if you do put them farther away.
