Yeah i had V7 it was great but it slows down the system a little in my case if i used the Glass theme.. and plus you needed Windows Blinds enhanced for it.

V5.5 or later..

dont know this one tho.. might try it out later.

I'm kind of interested in this too, would the Transition Pack 8.0 slow down my computer? Like to a pretty large amount?

Bricopacks and the like will do this.

Any skinning will do this.

When I had used styleXP it was not so severe. Minimal difference.

I suggest not using bricopacks or anything of the style, though. You will lose more performance then using WB6, LiteStep, Endo, StyleXP, etc...

rofl.. actually you wont... WB will make you loose alot more..

the only way you can loose performance with a bricko is if it has alot of 3rd party programs and you install them all and use them all at the same time.

also this one has 3 dif options to the transformation which can be changed at any time.

One is for performance

second one is for the most vista look you can get (may slow you down a little if ur pc is shit).

3rd one is for low end machines and its basic style.

EDIT:

"StyleXp"- It does the same thign as a bricko pack.

it applys visual styles without needing to Patch your theme dll.

(it actually does patch it but after uninstall it puts back the originall Dll.

well almost does the same.. cause its not that good..

Does the same without the bloat.

Bricopacks slow you down pretty bad.

When I found StyleXP I unisnted the bricopack and used it and found a significant performance increase.

Download vista trans pack... on the options window choose Optimized,Vistalize, or minimal system.

you can switch between them see if you see any performance difrences

				| Vista transformation pack is my favorite out of the theme packs. Though I still prefer the classic Windows theme, makes for a much faster and more responsive system, even if you have good hardware.
