For those who are too cheap to buy one and too stpuid to download one. Here is a tutorial for making boot disks. And for those who don't know what a boots disk is, it is a disk to format your computer.

This tutorial has pictures and step-by-step instructions, so you can't mess up. But if you do, then you must be retarted.

This tutorial is not made by me, the people who made it are below in the credits.

Note: Nero Burning ROM 6.3.1.20 was using in this example.

Lets begin.

The following items are required:
A copy of the original Windows CD/DVD or ISO.
A copy of the Boot Files (Downloaded Below).
A minimum of 1GB available hard disk space for CD's.
A minimum of 5GB available hard disk space for DVD's.

Preparation:
1. Create a folder called OS on your hard drive (C: is used in this example).
2. In this folder create two sub-folder called BOOT, and ROOT.



3. Copy the entire Windows 2000/XP/2003 CD (or extract the ISO) into folder ROOT

Boot files:
4. Download boot file. (Attached ~ 1.08 KB)
5. Extract the BootSector file (boot.ima) from bootfiles.zip into the folder C:\OS\BOOT

Using Nero:
6. Start Nero Burning ROM.
7. Select File > New... from the menu.



8. Select CD-ROM (Boot).
9. Select Image file from Source of boot image data.
10. Check Enable expert settings (for advanced users only!).
11. Set Kind of emulation: to No Emulation.
12. Set Load segment of sectors (hex!): to 0000.
13. Set Number of loaded sectors: to 4.
14. Set Platform identifier: to Intel x86 compatible.
15. Press the Browse... button.



16. Locate the BootSector file (boot.ima) in the folder C:\OS\BOOT.
17. lick the Open button.



18. Click on the ISO tab.
19. Set File name length to Max. of 31 chars (ISO Level 2).
20. Set Format to Mode 1.
21. Set Character Set to ISO 9660 (standard ISO CD-ROM).
22. Check the Joliet check box.
23. Check all Relax ISO Restrictions.
24. Check Allow more than 64 characters for Joliet names.



25. Click on the Label tab.
26. Remove the check from Also use the ISO 9660 text for Joliet.
27. Enter the Volume Label into the ISO 9660 and Joliet text boxes.

Volume Labels
English - Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Retail - ARMPXFPP_EN
English - Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Upgrade - ARMPXCCP_EN
English - Windows XP Professional (SP2) Retail - VRMPFPP_EN
English - Windows XP Home (SP2) Retail - VRMHFPP_EN
English - Windows XP Home (SP2) Upgrade - VRMHCCP_EN
English - Windows XP Professional (SP2) Upgrade - VRMPCCP_EN

28. Enter in the Volume Label into the System Identifier, Volume Set, Publisher, Data preparer, and Application text boxes under ISO 9660 and Joliet.
29. Click the OK button.



30. Click the Burn tab.
31. Check Write.
32. Check Finalize CD (No further writing possible!).
33. Set Write Method to Disc-at-once. (We have had Track-At-Once work as well.)
34. Click the New button.



35. Locate the folder C:\OS\ROOT.
36. Select everything in the folder and drag it to the ISO compilation panel. Note: Some files are not show in the following image.
37. Click the Write CD Dialog button



38. Click the Boot tab.
39. Verify the settings. Correct if needed.
40. Click the Burn button.



41. Wait for Disc creation to finish.



42. Click the OK button.
43. Click the Done button.



44. Process complete. You're done.

but I failed.
