TinyXP is definitely worth installing if you don't have much RAM. Oh and, you should burn your drivers onto a separate disc.

If you have a dell dont. dells make custom drivers for the computer components
EDIT: also i don't think you can use windows update

Oh dear, can't people customize their windows by themselves?
So easy: start->run->msconfig
or start->run->services.msc
And if you google you can find how to delete some windows apps, like games, media player, IE..(to make it smaller.)
