i am VERY new to cheatengine and game hacking, and i dont understand a thing on the tutorials, im on step 2, where i have to change my health to 1000 but i dont understand what to do, please help me

what is it that you do not understand? Here are the sequential steps to follow:

1. Attached to the Tutorial.exe From the Process List

2. Write 100 in the Value Field (do not check the hex)

3. Scan Type: Exact Value

4. Value Type: 4 Bytes

5. Press First Scan. Now you should have a list of addresses and values on the left hand side, or right under the open button you will have the number of addresses found. Please note that by default the cheat engine will only show 50 found addresses. So you have to narrow them down or change the default number to a higher one. If you get only 1 address-- BINGO -- you are a winner and you can move to the Step:8

6. Now, on the Step 2 tutorial click "Hit me" button

7. Notice that the value from 100 was decremented by 1. A new Value is 99.
Now you can do next scan for:
a. value of 99 with scan type as : Exact Value" or
b. value of 1 with scan type as: "Decreased value by ..." or
c. select scan type as: "Decreased value"

whichever option you select press: "Next Scan" and see if you found your winner. if not please repeat steps 6-7 until on the left column you will have only 1 address and the value that will correspond to your Health

8. Double click on the found address. This will add the address to the bottom part of the Cheat engine. So you found the place in memory (hex address) where your health value is stored.

9. Double click on the value and change it to 1000
