I assume by the 3rd you mean the Pentagon? Ill tell you now, the part that got hit had nothing to do with economics, it was the war strategy wing from what I remember of the reports.
Also, there is such a thing as metal being affected by heat, how else do you think it is molded in the first place? Not to mention jet fuel burns at an amazingly high temperature.

No, I'm talking about building 7, at the world trade center. It was untouched by planes and was below the level of the fire in the 2 main towers, yet still collapsed, though the fire was only on one or 2 floors. Also, it collapsed demolition style, towards the middle of the building, without damaging buildings just across the street. |
lol you know the shock from it falling did actually damage the surrounding buildings.
