i like Dev-C++ alot =P it does the job and then some.
Also Visual C++ i heard was good, but i hated it! so many pointless add ons... _________________

The compiler bundled with it (MingW I believe), is horrid. But you can change the compiler to whatever you desire. I am talking about the IDE itself. Personally I like it. |

I agree that Code::Blocks is garbage. It is extremely unintuitive, and the first time I used it I spent over 20 minutes trying to figure out how to set up a basic project, and how to change project settings within the UI (ended up manually editing the xml file)
It's a problem with free (freedom) software in general, because the developers make a particular tool for themselves, they don't do any usability testing, and adopt a "if it's broken, fix it yourself" attitude towards user complaints- nothing gets done. _________________
