If the file is around 1.5~2MB+ it will "lags" a lot before open, 2MB of pure letters is A LOT! Also, you PC RAM is a factor or speedness in this case =x

Yes, 1G is enough most games require 512 MB ram.
And very high graphic games use 1024

Edit: thelegacy, you probably got 512.

I have 512MB of RAM so far. I'm ok with it, i have'nt experience any "RAMLESS" dificults yet _________________

I noticed, but some memory of RAM goes on other things.
RAM: 64 > 128 > 256 > 512 > 1024 > 2048 > and it goes on.
512 is most used now.
