hope i get this to the wrong section now.

do u know any program that is enable to open the dll file, more specifically pcomdebug.dll. i have tried borland c++, visual c++ and others eiditor, it either came out wired unrecognized strings or unable to open it at all.

any one can tell me wich program is able to open dll file with proper code. and if possible to edit it.

any text/hex editor can open any file, you're going to have to stop being so vague if you want some help.

well this pcomdebug dll was made by borland c++. so i download borland c++, when i tried to open it, it just said can't open with that library type.

all i want to do is open it and see what it actually do to the memory when it load up. and if possible try to modify the code, so it can do something else.

i also tried to open it in nodpad or other editors i can find in web, it came out with wierd strings/symbol i can't seem what it does at all.

so i am just wondering if it's possible to open or modify just the dll file without having the source code(some one have mentioned to me)

its already compiled... it isnt a source. you will never get back to the original source but you can dissasemble it with a debugger/dissasembler.... like ollydbg and win32dasm.

well, if u need the scripts form it, u can simply use CE and search...

the reason i wanna do this is try to change the address when the next patch is up.

The DLL won't help you much as you see , try opening it up in notepad .

And if this is maplestory related or in gamehacking stance , it shouldn't be here .

So the DLL isn't the source which you need .

i did try to open in notepad, but it coe out a super long wierd string that doesn't make sense at all. just wondering if any of u know some program/editor that can open dll file that can be understand/read properly.
it said this dll was made by borland c++, but when i try to open it with that, it can't be open due to library error

p.s.
btw i first post this in maplestory section since i see it related to maplestory directly,however appal warned and close my thread for wrong section. and ppl point me to this general section.
