Sorry to post this twice, I was thinking this may be a better place for it (since CE is giving me an error and im not begging for hacks)


I was writing a trainer for "The Godfather The Game", a new game (March 13, 2006) not to be confused with the older game of the same title.

When using CE5.2, I am able to search for values, but I can not use the "Find out what accesses this memory address" (Debugger). It gives me two errors in a row:

Cheat Engine failed to attach to process. (Error=87)
and then
Thread Error: The handle is invalid (6)

So for example i can find the address for money, but when i try to debug to get the static one, it fails to attach. The debugger on Tsearch does not work either, but it gives no error, simply does nothing.

(PS I tried reinstalling CE twice, to no avail)

error 87 means the game has debugger protection.
There are 2 ways arround it. One is removing the current debugger ( read http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=2338 )
The other is enabling the kernel debugging option

i think enableling the kernal debuggrer mode is much simpler cause it only takes like 2-4 click of the mouse
