Trying to clear fog of war. the values are either 65535 or 62259. if I change the value by directly editing it, it works. however, if I create an AOB injection trying to change, the map is not affected as intended.

Look at what's writing to the value. If there is nothing, that means the game isn't executing the original code. Your code in newmem is only run when the game executes the original injection point.
If it's something else, you picked the wrong injection point. _________________
