I'll say: The quickest way I learn languages, is to pick some kind of project or task to complete, quickly figure out which language would probably be best (if possible) - then start hammering away at the project at hand. This: Because I have the attention span of a rock if I'm not interested in what I'm doing. I google a lot for methods to completing certain 'parts' of the task, such as file handling, or registry reading/writing,etc, to see how others have accomplished it, then implement my own variation of it in the project.
So my response to your question would be... Pick a project, then determine what language is best suited for it, and start hammering away!
