So in Dead Island DE and Dying light (Same Devs). The camera yaw keeps going up when turning clockwise (360 for each revolution) and seems to only reset a some really high value, and does the same but negative when turning counter clockwise. I'm only using this for a teleporter so it works, but it just seems like an odd setup for view point to world calculations. I've only ever done one aim boot to learn the concept. But I was hopping some one with some more experience with view points in games might shed some light on this, i.e.: Why do it this way?. Also Is this normal, or even just some what common?
