I remember a few years back, using Cheat Engine to speed hack the game and it worked fine.

I tried it today and the game seems to completely ignore cheat engine. There is no error when enabling speedhack. I tried setting speed to 0.5 , 0.25, even 0.1 and nothing. Game doesn't slow down.

What can I try?

The game is the 32-bit version found on Steam, and the version of CE I am using is 6.7 (64-bit).

I use Windows 7 64-bit.

I took a closer look at the game and found that, it seems to ignore the speedhack when its less than 1. (say 0.5 or even 0.25 ... even 0 does nothing.) If I was to set the speed to higher than that, then the game goes really fast. (like say, 5 or even 10...)

I did find two variables, floats, that changed to equal whatever I set speedhack to. It seems the game always uses both 0078CD30 and
19BCD920 for them. Setting both variables to something higher than 1 works and makes the game super fast, but anything less than 1 does nothing to slow it down.

That is incredibly funny. Sonic game cannot be slowed down.

I already have the game in windowed mode. I rarely play games fullscreen.

As for gsync and vsync, I don't see any options for those in the game or its launcher settings.

I know speedhack once worked on this game and I don't think they ever updated the game to prevent it from working. Was the way speedhack worked different in older versions of CE?
