|
|
Although I use both steam and GOG platforms, whenever I can, I try to buy games from GOG.
The problem is that usually the cheat tables for steam aren't compatible with GOG game versions. Is there a reason for this?
With the little knowledge I have, I can only think that it's due to the rebuilt .exe, so there could be changes for addresses and the likes.
Is there a way to "convert" cheat tables from steam to gog version?
I hope somebody is able to help me/answer my question, thanks in advance.

of course addresses and bytes get changed.
maybe in steam version edi is writing to your health, and in gog version esi is writing to your health.
about how to convert, i dont think its possible.
maybe you have to search for the cheats again.

Uhm, I suppose so? In the case of "way of the samurai 4", the table available here used some aobscan from what I could see.
