Cheat Engine

I'm looking for cheats in the Model 2 emulator. While playing Virtua Fighter 2, I found the value that holds health, but of course this changes next time the emulator is run.

So I did 'find what writes to this address' on the health value, and if I replace that code the game goes completely nuts - the fighters bodies starting to bend in strange ways and sometimes the camera zooms out endlessly. I'm guessing this code does more than simply write the new health value.

What do I do from here?
