Cheat Engine

In Dark Souls 1 I have a pointer that shows current animation ID. There's also a glitch where you get stuck in a particular idle animation and have to either die or alt f4 to escape being frozen in place.

I'm unsure how to go about, or even if it's possible, for cheat engine to detect when the pointer value is at the stuck animation ID and set the pointer to 0, cancelling the glitch and freeing the player.

I'm not inexperienced using cheat engine and reading code, but my programming knowledge is pretty darn basic

first figure out how you can see if the game is in that stuck animation and how you would fix that.

then find out how to let ce do that (timers, reading values, settinh values, etc...)

To make sure I'm getting this right:

Create a timer
When the animation pointer is equal to X for a chosen time period,
Change pointer value to 0

Would that be right?
