what happened bewteen 6.51 and 6.6 regarding strings?

In 6.51 any time I edit the value at an address it automatically 0-terminates any string I enter, but doesn't in 6.6, is there a setting for this somewhere that I have missed?
it has the zero terminate already active if that helps
<ZeroTerminate>1</ZeroTerminate>

CE6.6 has a bug. Wait for next version.
CE6.6 is from 10/10/2016.

Zero termination was fixed in source github on 14 Nov 2016, https://github.com/cheat-engine/cheat-engine/commit/949f54b11dc0e3baddd2f7ef9e694da64408acbb
