I am an absolute fanboy of the first 3 games, Thief 4 looks crap and has been slated by just about everyone.

And the rumour going round is that the supposed upcoming movie will be based on the damn reboot!
and this dismays me no end.

If you are a fanboy of the first 3 games, and can't abide the abominable desecration of the franchise that Thief 4 is. Then, like me, this should worry and then (if it turns out to be true) indignify you.

I wouldn't say crap, i actually enjoyed playing it for a few missions.

When has a movie based on a game ever been great? Most are crappy or have nothing to do with the game they are based on. Doubt this will be any different.
