The question I have is actually very simple, how would I edit the amount of items in any version of RPG maker(except MX).
I have been able to find the item amounts if i have plenty to throw away or use to increase and decrease my current amount. But I also have some items I only have 1 or 2 of and those are the ones I need to find. And I cand find those because 2 scans just isn't enough to find the right adress.
Not familiar with the target, but have you looked to see if the distance between items is relative? You might check data structures and experiment if item values are near each other.
Most RPG Maker games can be converted back into project form and then opened with RPG Maker, edited and ran. Anything you want to change in game is available in the ruby editor of RPG Maker or the typical trigger/item edits.
If you want 100 of an item, find where you are on the map, make a new trigger that gives it to you, then go in game and access that trigger. RPG maker is pretty easy.
